Employees with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can be passionate about a particular interest or topic they care about.
Employees with ADHD tend to be creative and produce lots of ideas which can be harnessed when working in an area of interest. Many people with ADHD flourish in a role that engages them constantly such as a paramedic, sports coach, designer or teacher. People with ADHD also have the ability to hyper focus on tasks, meaning they can often be deadline driven and finish tasks quicker then their neurotypical colleagues.
However, they may have difficulties with attention, physical restlessness, staying on task, following routines and maintaining concentration, for example in meetings. Read more about ADHD in our blog.
